Wesley Curtin Amateur Football Club |
Cocktail Party May 19th - see news page/facebook page for more details
The Wesley Curtin Amateur Football Club is one of the largest and most respected clubs in the WA Amateur Football League. The club fields seven teams throughout the competition, comprising five senior sides and two Colts sides (U/20). The WAAFL is a highly competitive league and is the strongest league in the Perth metropolitan area, outside of the WAFL competition. All matches are played on Saturdays, with League games commencing at 2.30pm.
The club is based at South Oval, Curtin University where we have established our own extensive clubrooms, training and social facilities. The clubrooms have been recently upgraded and our ovals have newly installed floodlighting which allow us to play night games. We are a very professionally run club and do everything possible to provide the best playing conditions for all of our members including physiotherapy support at all games and free physiotherapy treatment for all players.
While many of our current and past players attended Curtin University or Wesley College, it doesn’t matter where you come from - all players are welcome down at the Wesley Curtin Tigers.
The club has a strong committee and an excellent group of coaches led by our Club Coach Earl Spalding (300 game player, AFL Premiership player with Carlton, WAFL coach and AFL Assistant coach). The club is also famous for having a fantastic social scene and you can be assured that your wives and girlfriends will really enjoy the atmosphere at our club.
We are also fortunate to have one of the strongest networks of past players and supporters in the amateur league, many of whom also sponsor our club. The combination of a large and committed playing membership together with our loyal past player and supporter base has allowed the Wesley Curtin Tigers to become one of the most successful and professionally run clubs in the league.
You can contact the club by calling our President, Rod Phillips on 0411 745 476.
